Reza Rahimi (b. 1980 in Mashhad, Iran) is a civil engineer, project management engineer, and independent filmmaker. After moving to Sweden at the age of fifteen, he studied IT & Multimedia Management at the University of Gothenburg and later specialized in civil engineering, working with major international companies on Swedish infrastructure projects. Alongside his engineering career, and as an employee of the Swedish government, he has been active in cultural and artistic work, producing numerous cultural projects, festivals, and events, as well as founding multicultural radio and television stations in Sweden. His feature film Bride Price vs. Democracy (2018) received international acclaim, winning multiple awards including Best Nordic Feature Film, Best Director, Best Screenplay, and Best Female and Male Lead Roles.
